A Little About Me
Hi! I'm Zoey Walker and I'm a 27 year old American producer, director, writer, and actor. You will find me in several short films that I've created and been a part of for festivals such as the A3F in Phoenix, AZ and the 48 Hour Film Project. I enjoy working on comedic and dramatic film projects, but I also enjoy commercials, industrial films, and stage combat. I have also performed as a stand up comedian for live audiences and hosted a talk-show from my home! When it comes to creating and performing, I am really up for anything! Currently I am in post-production for a queer short film that was filmed in Atlanta, GA. I am also the founder of ZoCo Studios, a production company with the goal of uplifting queer voices and fostering a safe space for authentic and positive queer representation in film.
Feel free to visit www.zocostudios.com for more about my production company!
When I'm not working on film projects, you'll find me at the gym, on a hike, traveling, or visiting my family! I also have training as a mental health professional and hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. My current day job is working as a research lab manager where we research and develop tools for improving deaf education and providing better access to resources for deaf people. My dream is to bring my passion for film, the queer community, and the Deaf community together by creating films with strong queer and female leads as well as films with Deaf AND Hearing leads - normalizing the blending of the two worlds through easy communication and mutual understanding of cultures.
If you are interested in collaborating on any aspect of the creative process (writing, directing, producing, acting) feel free to contact me!
